Alimentaria is the International Food, Beverage and Food Service Show that is organized in Barcelona. This year we will be in Alimentaria 2018 thanks to the collaboration with the Instituto Halal.
Within the lines of cheeses that we have: goat cheeses with the Quinkana brand and mixed with La Abuela Valle, we also have a line of premium cheeses that are also certified halal: Nu’m.
In Alimentaria there is a space dedicated to the halal world with more than 1,800 million potential consumers. This market represents almost 25% of the world population and that bit by bit they are demanding new products of higher quality.
Halal products currently account for 16% of world consumption of food and drink, contributing more than 40,000 million Euros to the EU economy, according to 2015 data from the service company SGS.
We share with Alimentaria the conviction that the halal certificate facilitates the loyalty of the Muslim customer, adds value to the product, guarantees quality and is a source of business among Spanish companies (around 350 certified Spanish companies).
Our cheeses are gradually becoming known by the most demanding consumers and although we still have a long way to go. Alimentaria must be a key moment for the impulse beyond our borders of halal cheeses Nu’m premium cheese.
